Pets roam Milan furniture fair exhibition
Explore the pet-friendly furniture showcase at Milan’s Salone del Mobile, where MCM and Pet Therapy unveil poufs that blend design and warm companionship.

The Salone del Mobile in Milan features a unique installation that combines design and companionship, courtesy of MCM and Pet Therapy, with pet-friendly poufs inspired by childhood joy and the comforting presence of pets.
This installation is the result of a collaboration between MCM and Pet Therapy, with the goal of redefining inclusive seating, creating an immersive experience that celebrates the bond between humans and their furry friends with sculptural poufs shaped like beloved cats and dogs.
MCM x Pet Therapy Installation
The project centers around 11-year-old Altea Biagetti, whose vision was nurtured by her parents, Alberto Biagetti and Laura Baldassari of Atelier Biagetti, bringing a refreshing perspective to design, prioritizing simplicity and immediate recognition.
They explain, “We envisioned a home without limits, where design becomes a way to share tenderness and imagination,” and this family-centric approach is reflected in the MCM x Pet Therapy collection, featuring playful, cartoon-inspired details and illustrated pet characters made from upcycled material.
This collaboration pushes the boundaries of traditional home design, inviting people to experience their living spaces in delightful new ways, with MCM’s Chief Visionary Officer, Sung-Joo Kim, emphasizing that “At MCM, design goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about creating experiences that bring happiness and emotional connection,” much like a well-designed family kitchen can bring people together.
A Whimsical Experience
Visitors enter the installation and are greeted by surreal lights and textures that evoke a playful home, with miniature wooden houses scattered throughout the space creating an inviting atmosphere where the joy of play is encouraged and celebrated as a vital component of life.
Each day features unique activation events, from Pet Pilates to dog training sessions, making the installation a dynamic experience.
The installation at Giardino delle Arti opened on April 7th with a press preview and will be accessible to the public from April 8–13, 2025, offering a unique experience for families and pet owners alike, with MCM’s bold aesthetics merged with the whimsical style of Pet Therapy to redefine modern luxury.
In practice, this development means people can experience their living spaces in new and imaginative ways, surrounded by design elements that bring joy and comfort, with the use of upcycled materials and cartoon-inspired details adding a touch of playfulness to the exhibit.
It is a celebration of collaboration and creativity, showcasing the possibilities that emerge when different disciplines come together, with its unique blend of design, art, and play leaving visitors inspired and delighted.
