SPOR Group buys UK design firm to boost workplace tech
SPOR Group acquires Squaredot, a UK design firm specializing in workplace tech, expanding its tech-driven interior design services across Europe.

SPOR Group has completed the acquisition of Squaredot, a UK-based interior design firm specializing in workplace environments. The purchase strengthens its portfolio of technology-driven design services by merging two companies with complementary skills in office layouts, audiovisual systems, and strategic planning. Both firms share decades of combined experience in workplace technology and interior design, creating a more full service offering for organizations across the UK and Europe.
Squaredot brings decades of experience to the partnership, having delivered more than 983 projects and secured 25 BCO Awards, including the 2017 National Fit Out of Workplace Award for Birmingham City Council. Its client roster features major names such as CBRE, Manchester Airports Group, and Kimberly-Clark, alongside additional organizations like SCC, Bristol & Bath Science Park, and CareCo. The consultancy’s leadership, including Managing Director Kris Krokosz and Business Consultant David Kramer, will remain in place to ensure continuity for current clients. Krokosz emphasized that the acquisition preserves the specialist knowledge and relationships that have defined Squaredot’s success while expanding its capabilities through the partnership.
The acquisition follows SPOR Group’s recent nomination as a finalist for Integrator of the Year at the AV Awards 2026, alongside its founder Chris Gore’s recognition as a candidate for AV Professional of the Year. Gore, now serving as Group Strategic Director, stated that the move aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its service capabilities while maintaining the specialized knowledge clients depend on. The acquisition also reflects SPOR Group’s broader industry recognition, reinforcing its commitment to setting higher standards for workplace technology reliability and performance.
Founded by Gore, a former military leader, SPOR Group currently manages over 1,500 meeting rooms across the UK and Europe, serving high-profile clients like the NFL and NHS. The company specializes in long-term technology solutions designed to address operational inefficiencies that prevent systems from meeting business requirements. Its approach spans industries including insurance and recruitment, ensuring tailored solutions for diverse organizational needs. The acquisition of Squaredot further enhances this proposition by integrating design expertise with technical implementation, creating a more holistic service for clients.
The combined entity will integrate Squaredot’s design-focused approach with SPOR Group’s technical implementation strengths. Existing clients will retain access to their dedicated teams while gaining broader resources through the partnership. Organizations that previously worked with separate vendors for space planning and audiovisual systems may now benefit from a unified provider. This merger also allows Squaredot to leverage SPOR Group’s established infrastructure and resources, supporting its continued growth and development.
